New Student Application Procedures for Domestic Students (K-8)

Emmaus Lutheran School is dedicated to making a clear and easy process to help begin our partnership with your family in the education of your child.  Outlined below is the Acceptance Process and Criteria for your child’s future enrollment.

Please refer to this guideline to help you make sure that all details are completed.

Thank you for your inquiry into our school.

Before Acceptance:

_____1.  Make an appointment to preview the school (campus tour) and meet with the principal.

_____2.  Make a screening appointment with the teacher.  Contact the school office to make this appointment.

_____3.  Go online and complete the New Student Application.

_____4.  Pay the screening fee of $50. (must be paid on campus on or before screening date).

_____5.  Complete the screening.

Acceptance Criteria:

Spiritual Considerations

     -Personal Christian commitment of parents and student.

     -Willingness of parents and student to be supportive of the school’s Christian philosophy of education.

     -Willingness of parents and student to support the administration and faculty in carrying out the goals and programs of the school.

Behavioral Considerations:

     -History of acceptable citizenship in previous school experience.

     -Agreement of parents and student to abide by the behavior standards established by the school.

Academic Considerations:

     -Documented record of acceptable grades in previous school experience. (due at screening, if applicable)

     -Acceptable scores on achievement tests. (due at screening, if applicable)

     -Acceptable result of the screening with Emmaus Lutheran teacher/staff member.

Personal Considerations:

     -Student’s special interests, talents, and skills.

 

School makes no distinction in its admission policy on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin.

 After Acceptance:

_____1.  Registration and Technology payments due to the Financial Office.

_____2.  Sign the “Statement of Beliefs” Form.

_____3.  In mid-April, expect a Registration Packet that will have items including those listed below:

  1. Emergency Contact Form instructions (completed online)

  2. Uniform Information

  3. School Supply Form (by grade level)

  4. Financial Agreement Sheet

_____4.  In mid-July, expect a Welcome Back to School Packet that will have items including those listed below:

  1. Final School Calendar

  2. Back to School BBQ Information

  3. New Family Orientation Information

_____5.  Attend the New Family Orientation Meeting.
