Welcome to Emmaus Lutheran School

A message from Mrs. Hittinger, Emmaus Lutheran School Principal, concerning the COVID-19 Pandemic:

Since 1941, Emmaus Lutheran School has offered quality education to the San Gabriel Valley community, and last spring was no exception.  The Emmaus Lutheran teachers rallied together and continued remote education for our students, providing daily instruction, assignments and assessments, allowing our students to complete the school year unscathed by what was happening in the world around us.  I am very proud of the work that they accomplished for our students.

This pandemic has left a lot of people with many fears and uncertainties about how students will be educated.  Emmaus’ faculty is anxious to get back into classrooms and teach students.  There will be two platforms for learning:  face-to-face learning with students in the classrooms or face-to-face learning with students logging in remotely.  We have an extensive plan being finalized that details out by grade level, how remote learning will work, but rest assured, daily live instruction will be happening here at Emmaus.  Each of our classrooms will hold up to 18 students while following social distancing guidelines, and we have a beautiful six-acre campus with lots of shaded areas for outdoor learning sessions.  Students will each have a Plexiglas screen at their desk for added protection.  The faculty is flexible and ready to move forward to serve our students.

If you want something more for your child, something that will allow your student the educational continuity and advancement needed for his or her success, please consider Emmaus Lutheran School. With qualified teachers, a long-standing and well established academic program, a large and successful alumni, several programs to enhance and promote a well-rounded education, and a beautiful, six plus acre campus, Emmaus gives students a solid spiritual, academic and confident foundation that will help them become life-long learners and successful Christian adults in the 21st Century. Having two children myself, I understand the value of finding the right school for your child. I hope that you find that Emmaus Lutheran will exceed your every expectation. I would love to personally show you around our campus, and have an opportunity to tell you more about our programs. Emmaus Lutheran is a family–large enough to allow students choices, but small enough to know our students and meet our students’ individual academic, social, physical and spiritual needs. Please call me to schedule an appointment or allow me to answer your questions. khittinger@emmausalhambra.org or 626) 289-3664 X105. We have translators available if needed.
