Each grade level will take educational field trips that correspond with the curriculum. Each teacher will provide information for the students, and will outline the guidelines at the beginning of the year. Field trips are a privilege, and students will be allowed to participate at the discretion of the teacher and administration.
Each student must have a current Emergency Form on file in the school office, and must have a trip specific Field Trip Authorization Form (electronic)
Teachers, within their guidelines, will either transport students by use of cars and parent drivers, by bus, or walking. All parent drivers must fill out a Volunteer Driver Form (electronic) and must have evidence of a current driver’s license and current insurance.
Please note that the following policy exists concerning hot lunch and Amy’s Kitchen on field trip days:
Sometimes field trips come up at the last minute—if the trip is more than two weeks away, but within the current lunch menu period, Amy will be able to give credit back to families who have purchased lunch. If there is less than two weeks’ notice, Amy will not give credit to the parent,however, a parent may arrange to pick up the student’s hot lunch.
